Karissa Carson brings over 10 years of experience in healthcare and senior living. Before transitioning into sales and marketing, Karissa wore many hats in the senior living community — from caregiving to leading activities — giving her a deep understanding of the needs, emotions, and challenges that come with each stage of senior care.
In her current role, Karissa focuses on building strong relationships between the community, local partners, and families. She takes pride in connecting people and resources, ensuring that seniors and their loved ones feel supported, informed, and welcomed every step of the way. Her compassionate and approachable nature helps foster trust, while her dedication to excellence ensures that each interaction reflects the values of the community she represents.
Karissa is passionate about empowering others, whether it’s mentoring team members, guiding families through transitions, or collaborating with local organizations to strengthen community ties.
Outside of work, Karissa enjoys dancing, hiking, and spending time helping others. Her enthusiasm, warmth, and commitment to service continue to make a lasting impact on everyone she meets.
Lisa Kemper – Executive Director
Lisa has worked in the senior living industry for more than 25 years, and throughout that time she has learned that the most important part of her work is building meaningful relationships with residents, families, and staff.
Her goal is to help create a warm, welcoming environment where every resident feels valued, respected, supported, and encouraged to continue living a meaningful and fulfilling lives. She also understands how important trust and communication are for families, and looks forward to building those relationships with her families at Woodholme.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with my family, visiting local wineries, and challenging ourselves with escape rooms. She enjoys opportunities to connect with people, laugh together, and create lasting memories — and believes those same things are what help make a community feel like home.
As she begins this new chapter with the Charter Senior Living of Woodholme Crossing, she is excited to get to know everyone and become part of what makes this community so special.
Heather Palmer – Director of Sales
Heather brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and sales, with a strong track record of developing strategies that drive engagement, strengthen brand presence, and deliver measurable results. Known for her strategic mindset and results-driven approach, she has a natural ability to connect with audiences and convert with confidence.
Her experience spans both relationship-building and performance-focused marketing, allowing her to support business growth while maintaining a strong focus on the prospect experience. Heather is passionate about using her expertise to make a meaningful impact.
Heather is a proud Maryland native with a deep appreciation for history, local entrepreneurship, and building lasting relationships. She is inspired by the strong women in her family, which has shaped both her work ethic and her commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
